Striving to fulfill his life’s motto, “Living is Giving,” brought him to become a Lion in 1999 with the Hyderabad Serilingampally Lions Club. He has held a number of offices within the association including multiple district council chairperson, three-time multiple district convention chairperson and LCIF area leader. Director Babu Rao celebrates his birthday as a Hunger Relief Day by sponsoring hunger relief activities throughout the multiple district..
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including International President’s Awards. He has been honored with the Ambassador of Good Will Award—the highest honor the association bestows upon its members. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Babu Rao is active in numerous charity trusts and permanent projects. He has also served as an advisor to the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) of West Hyderabad.
Director Babu Rao and his wife, Sandhya Rani, also a Lion and a Melvin Jones Fellow, have two children and one grandchild.
Raj Kumar Agarwal from Kolkata, India, was elected to serve a two-year term as an international director of Lions International at the association’s 106th International Convention in Melbourne, Australia, June 21 through June 25, 2024.
Director Agarwal has 38 years of experience in the travel management industry. He is currently the director at The Travel Point, where he manages finances.
Director Agarwal started his journey with Lions International as a member of the Leo Club of Central Calcutta, where he served until 1987. He then joined the Lions Club of Calcutta Ganga in 1987, and is currently a member of Lions Club of Kolkata Classic since 2017.
He has held several offices within the association, including club president, club secretary, district governor, region chairperson, zone chairperson, cabinet treasurer, multiple secretary, membership, leadership and global service chairperson, among others.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Agarwal has received numerous awards, including the Lion of the Year Award, International President’s Appreciation Certificate, multiple International President’s Medals, multiple Extension Awards and multiple Membership Key Awards. He is also a PMJF and a major donor to LCIF.
Director Agarwal and his wife, Reena Agarwal, have two children.
Pankaj Mehta from Mumbai, India, was elected to serve a two-year term as an international director of Lions International at the association’s 106th International Convention in Melbourne, Australia, June 21 through June 25, 2024.
Director Mehta has 45 years of experience in a variety of industries, including information technology, textiles and investments. He is currently a chairman at Kiaana Home Originale Pvt. Ltd.
A member of the Lions Club of Bombay Airport since 1988, Director Mehta says he the Lions “We Serve” theme inspired him to join, and he has found his purpose in life.
He has held several offices within the association, including club president, club vice president, club secretary, district governor, vice district governor, region chairperson, zone chairperson, multiple district Leo chairperson and Sight for Kids chairperson, among others. He is also an LCIP graduate and has been faculty to many Lions Leadership Institutes.

In addition to his Lion activities, Director Mehta has served as a member of the MERL committee, leadership chairperson and a self-empowerment committee chairperson. He loves vintage music, traveling and photography, and is a motivational speaker and trainer in soft skills/life skills.
Director Mehta and his wife of 45 years, Tushar Pankaj Mehta, also a Lion, have two children and one grandchild.
Ramesh Prajapati from Vadodara, Gujarat, India, was elected to serve a two-year term as an international director of Lions International at the association’s 106th International Convention at Melbourne, Australia, 2024.
Director Prajapati started his carrier as a scientist in and Indian space research organization after serving as a lecturer at Technology MSU Vadodara. He then worked for a family business. He has 40 years of experience in the real estate industry and is currently a partner at Keizer Developers, where he focuses on negotiation and sales promotion.
Director Prajapati is a member of the Broda Gorwa Lions Club since 1988
He has held several offices within the association, including charter secretary, club president, zone chairperson, region chairperson, cabinet secretary, district chairperson, vice district governor, district governor, Centennial Celebration district coordinator, board member and trustee for LION Magazine India and Global Leadership Team area leader. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow and a lead donor.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Prajapati has received numerous awards, including 100% Attendance Awards, Best Lion Award, Best Zone Chairperson Award, multiple International President’s Medals, multiple International President’s Leadership Medals, multiple International President’s Appreciation Certificates, 100% District Governor Excellence Award, Supreme Membership Key Award and Guiding Lion Award, among many others.
In addition to his Lion activities, Director Prajapati is a 75-time blood donor, a major contributor in chartering 81 new clubs, has served as installing officer in 600+ clubs and trained 700+ Lions as GLT area leader. He is also associated with educational trust and banks.

Director Magesh has 30 years of experience in the retail trading and banking industry. He is currently a partner at S.R.S. Group of Companies
A member of the Lions Club of Kancheepuram Temple City, Director Magesh enjoys serving his community and the fellowship being a Lion offers.
He has held several offices within the association, including club president, club treasurer, district governor, vice district governor, region chairperson, zone chairperson, LCIF vice area leader and multiple district Global Membership Team coordinator.
