Under the Lions International Service Week – Environment, Lions Club of Karimganj successfully organized a Seminar on Environment Protection and Awareness at the Civil Hospital of Sribhumi on Wednesday, 22nd April, on the occasion of Earth Day. The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of maintaining a clean, green, and sustainable environment both within and around the hospital premises. It served as a meaningful step towards spreading awareness and encouraging responsible practices in everyday life. The program witnessed active participation from the hospital authorities, including Joint Director Dr. Sutradhar, Dr. Bhattacharya, along with other doctors, nurses, office staff, cleaning staff, and patient attendants. Their presence added great value to the initiative. Approximately 250 awareness leaflets on environmental protection were distributed among the attendees, reinforcing the message of sustainability. The program was presided over by Ln Ashok Deb, and the Project Chairperson Ln Anita Singh extended a generous gesture by distributing 65 food packets and juices among those present. A total of 14 Lion members graced the occasion, making the initiative a collective and impactful effort. The seminar turned out to be a successful and meaningful initiative, reflecting the club’s commitment towards building a healthier and more sustainable environment.
