MEGA EYE CHECK UP CAMPS - VISION

In a dedicated effort to promote eye health, a free eye screening camp was organized by Lions Club of Agartala ANISH in collaboration with Ashvini Netralaya. The camp was specifically held for the bus drivers and conductors of Holy Cross School, Agartala, with some teachers also availing the screening services. It was part of our club's commitment to Holy Cross School when we signed the MoU for Lions Quest program. A total of 65 individuals were thoroughly examined for various vision-related concerns. Patients presenting with allergic symptoms were prescribed general eye drops, while a few were advised to visit Ashvini Netralaya for further evaluation. Among the beneficiaries, 7 individuals were diagnosed with cataract or other surgical needs, and 16 were prescribed corrective spectacles based on their specific power requirements. We are proud to share that Lions Club of Agartala ANISH will sponsor all the prescribed spectacles for the bus drivers and conductors, while Ashvini Netralaya(Lion Dr. Anurag Majumder-Anish Member) has generously committed to perform the recommended surgeries free of cost for those holding BPL or Ayushman Bharat cards. This collaborative initiative marks another milestone in our commitment to community service and holistic healthcare outreach.
