*LIONS CLUB OF GUWAHATI ARPAN* *ONE DISTRICT-ONE ACTIVITY* *ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION* The Lions Club of Guwahati Arpan organized a workshop on Environment Protection on *31st August 2025* at Bonda, Narangi. The Guest Speaker was Dr. Manisha Sarmah, Program Officer, EIACP, Assam Science Technology and Environment Council, has over 20 years of experience in this field. The workshop was attended by residents of the Bonda,Narangi area and students of the LC Arpan’s Sewing School. Dr. Sarmah highlighted the importance of conserving biodiversity, especially protecting vultures, preventing deforestation, and promoting tree plantation. She also spoke about the history of environmental protection movements, including the Chipko Movement.
