Under the banner of Rohit Mehta Lions Quest Week, the Lions Club of Karimganj had the privilege of organizing a heart-warming Art Competition on Sunday, 7th September, for the little artists of Lions Art School, Karimganj. The theme of the competition was not merely artistic strokes on paper, but the tender and timeless bond between a teacher and a student — a bond built on guidance, love, gratitude, and trust. Each painting carried within it an innocent story, a silent song of affection, and a world of emotions that only a child’s heart could so purely express. After a thoughtful and careful judgment, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes were awarded to the most promising creations. Yet in truth, every child was a winner. To honor their spirit, each of the 45 young participants received a water bottle as a token of love, along with refreshments to add sweetness to their smiles. This soulful initiative was lovingly sponsored by Barak Valley Lions Quest Co ordinator & Secretary of LCK Ln Reema Banik & Ln Suman Banik, as a pre-birthday celebration of their only daughter. It was a humble attempt to help her realize that while many things may come to her as basics, to others they are a luxury, and sharing what we have is the truest form of celebration. 🌼 The success of this event was made possible because 13 devoted Lions invested their time, their presence, and their hearts under the Leadership of Ln Jaishree Gang along with Project Chairperson Ln Shikha Dey. And yet, the most precious reward came not in trophies or tokens, but in the sparkling eyes and radiant smiles of the children as they walked back home. Those smiles, carrying innocence and gratitude, filled our hearts with a joy beyond words — a gentle reminder of why we serve. 💖
