Bastra Bitaran – A Signature Project of Lions Club of Karimganj Every year, as Durga Puja approaches, the Lions Club of Karimganj reaches out to those in need so that the joy and spirit of the festival touch every heart. Our Signature Project, Bastra Bitaran, is a humble effort to ensure that underprivileged families can celebrate the homecoming of Goddess Durga with dignity and happiness. This year, the project was carried out in two meaningful phases. In the second phase, with the support of Dakshin Maizgram Puja Committee, 60 sarees were distributed to the needy residents of Maizgram Village, bringing smiles and festive cheer to their homes. The success of the project was made possible by the 35 Lion Members who generously sponsored the sarees. Under the inspiring leadership of President Ln Jaishree Gang and the dedicated guidance of Project Chairman Ln Ashok Deb, the program was executed with full commitment. 8 Lions actively participated in the second phase, spreading warmth and compassion.
