EMPOWERING WOMEN WITH MILLETS

On 15th of August, 2024, We the members of Leo Club of Guwahati South along with our parent club, Lions Club of Guwahati South distributed nutritious food to the inmates at State Women Home Care, Jalukbari on the occasion of Independence Day. This initiative was not just about providing food, but about promoting health and well-being among the women residing at the home. The distribution focused on millet-based foods, known for their high nutritional value, which are essential for maintaining a balanced diet. The occasion of Independence Day added a special significance to the event, as it underscored the importance of empowering women through both physical nourishment and the spirit of independence. Our interaction with the inmates was filled with warmth and gratitude, making the day even more meaningful. This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and ensuring that every individual has the resources they need to lead a healthy and dignified life.
