Lions Club of Guwahati GOLD Date of Meeting: 28th July 2024 Type: First Board Meeting of the Lionistic Year 2024–25 Venue: Spice Route Attendees: Club President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board Members Meeting Purpose: To discuss strategic planning, set service goals, and define responsibilities to ensure better performance of the club in the new Lionistic year. Key Discussion Points & Decisions: 1. Annual Planning: A broad outline of monthly service projects was discussed. Priority given to impactful causes like health camps, education support, women hygiene, and food distribution. 2. Membership Engagement: Plans to enhance participation in meetings and service activities. Proposal to induct new members and retain existing ones through active involvement. 3. Service Projects: Approved initial service project for August focusing on supporting specially-abled children. Brainstormed on One District One Activity themes for upcoming months. 4. Fundraising & Budget: Discussed upcoming Diwali fundraising ideas (subject to regulatory permissions). Tentative budget and sponsorship targets set for major events. 5. Communication & PR: Decided to regularly update MyLCI & social media with project reports and photos. 6. Club Administration: Assigned responsibilities to board members for smooth functioning. Decided to hold regular board and general meetings with timely notifications. Outcome: The Board Meeting set a clear roadmap for the Lionistic year with an aim for impactful service, teamwork, and greater visibility of Lions Club of Guwahati GOLD.
