Activity Report: Flood Relief and Essential Material Distribution Drive Location: Bhajoni Gaon and Tekela Chuk, Sivasagar Partnering Organization: FNDC (Friends in Need Development Center) The Lions Club of Guwahati South, in active collaboration with FNDC, successfully organized a comprehensive relief distribution drive to assist flood-impacted families across Bhajoni Gaon and Tekela Chuk in Sivasagar. Initiated under the leadership of Mrs. Shyamali Bora Baruah, Zone Chairperson (Zone 6, District 322G) from the Lions Club of Guwahati South, the project aimed to address critical immediate needs, restore basic health and hygiene standards, and ease financial distress among vulnerable households. During the drive, funds amounting to ₹20,0000 INR were raised and directly donated to support the relief operations. The service team distributed an extensive range of essential items, including vital medical supplies such as general medicines, multivitamins, digestive enzymes, iron tonics, and sanitizer bottles. To maintain hygiene and mitigate disease risks in the affected areas, sanitary pads, Odomos mosquito repellents, bathing soaps, and toothpaste were provided. Additionally, the drive distributed crucial household supplies, including clothing, tea leaves, candles, and matchboxes to help families manage daily survival.
