Lions Club of Guwahati GOLD Date of Meeting: 28th July 2024 Type: 1st General Meeting of the Lionistic Year 2024–25 Venue: Spice Route, Guwahati Attendees: Club President, Secretary, Treasurer, Members of the Club Meeting Objective: To initiate the Lionistic year 2024–25 with collaborative planning, motivate members, and discuss upcoming service goals and club activities for enhanced performance. Key Points Discussed: 1. Welcome Address: Club President extended warm greetings to all members and emphasized teamwork and dedication for a successful Lionistic year. 2. Service Roadmap: Secretary presented the monthly project outline. Members shared suggestions for impactful service activities like food drives, hygiene kits for women, eye camps, and support for children with special needs. 3. Membership Motivation: Discussion on increasing member participation and involving families in service projects. Members were encouraged to propose potential new members. 4. Communication & Reporting: Emphasis on timely reporting on MyLCI and updating project reports with quality photos. Members were urged to actively promote club work on social media. 5. Upcoming Projects: Decided to organize the first service project in August. Preliminary discussions on celebrating Independence Day with a service gesture. 6. Club Discipline & Administration: Members agreed to maintain punctuality and active participation in club meetings and events. Dates for board and general meetings to be shared in advance each month.
