Diabetes Screening & Check-Up Camp

Lions Club of Guwahati Parvarish in Association with Apollo Hospitals organized a Diabetes Screening & Check-Up Camp with the objective of promoting early detection and awareness about diabetes. During the camp, Random Blood Sugar (RBS) tests were conducted for 90 patients, following which the patients were examined and counselled by a Diabetologist. Out of the 90 patients screened, 20 patients were found to have high blood sugar levels, while 10 patients were identified with borderline blood sugar levels. The Diabetologist provided appropriate medical guidance and advised these patients to undergo further evaluation, regular monitoring, and necessary follow-up consultations. The camp helped identify individuals who may require further medical attention and also created awareness about the importance of regular blood sugar monitoring, timely diagnosis, proper diet, and a healthy lifestyle for the prevention and management of diabetes.
