**Activity Title:** Pediatric Eye Screening Camp at Betkuchi High School **Date:** August 21, 2026 **Total People Served:** 201 **Total Volunteers/Participants:** 6 **Partnering Organization:** Lion's Eye Hospital **Activity Description:** The Lions Club of Guwahati South successfully organized a comprehensive eye screening camp for the students of Betkuchi High School. Recognizing the critical importance of healthy vision for adolescent education and development, this initiative specifically targeted students in Classes 6, 7, and 8. Throughout the camp, a total of 201 young beneficiaries were successfully screened for refractive errors and other visual impairments. This signature community service project was executed in proud collaboration with Lion's Eye Hospital. The on-ground execution team comprised six dedicated individuals: our club's core PST (President, Secretary, Treasurer) team alongside three expert medical professionals from Lion's Eye Hospital. The medical team provided thorough check-ups, and students requiring further vision correction or specialized care were counseled and guided on the next steps.
