Bastra Bitaran – A Signature Project of Lions Club of Karimganj Durga Puja is not just a festival—it is the spirit of togetherness, compassion, and joy. Every year, as the Goddess comes home, the Lions Club of Karimganj strives to ensure that even the underprivileged can celebrate with dignity and happiness. Our Signature Project, Bastra Bitaran, reflects this spirit of service and love. This year the project was organized in two phases. In the first phase, we distributed 210 sarees to the underprivileged women of our adopted village Kamargram, wrapping them not just in fabric but in care and festive cheer. In the second phase, sarees were distributed once again with the same devotion, bringing smiles to many hearts. The project became a grand success because of the 35 Lion Members who generously sponsored sarees and stood united for this noble cause. Under the able leadership of President Ln Jaishree Gang and with the heartfelt efforts of Project Chairman Ln Ashok Deb, the program was executed with dedication. In all, 10 Lions and 2 Leos actively participated in the first phase, spreading warmth and joy.
