THE GENERAL MEETING-CUM-DIWALI PARTY

The meeting was called to order by Lion Monika Buragohain, President, at 6:00 PM, followed by an invocation by Lion Deepak Dhirasaria and one minute of silence for peace and harmony. Lion Basant Kumar Agarwal, Charter President, welcomed all members and special invitees. The President initiated discussions on the Club's upcoming activities. The House approved the E-Waste Collection Drive by 14th November 2026, Diabetes Awareness and Service Camp, three Peace Poster Contests, membership development, plantation drives, and eye screening and general health camps. The Feed for Hunger Drive was approved to commence from 15th November 2026, with members voluntarily committing sponsorship for 16 Sundays. The installation of an RO Water Purifier-cum-Dispenser at Sai Mandir, Nagaon, was proposed after 10th December 2026. The Treasurer was requested to follow up on outstanding membership dues. A joint Club Officers' Training Programme with Zone-5 clubs was proposed for January 2027. The Secretary thanked all members and guests for their participation and appreciated Lion Maliram Gupta for providing the venue. Special Diwali gifts were presented to everyone. Members enjoyed music, dance, food, drinks and fellowship. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair, followed by dinner.
