Mega Saree Distribution Program

On the auspicious occasion of “MAHALAYA” on 21 st September 2025, Lions Club of Agartala organized a mega Saree Distribution Program like every year in the Club House of LCA. Last 1 (one) month hard work shows it’s result when we saw the smile in the beneficiary’s face after getting the beautiful saree. At that moment we felt it could be much better if we can add more beneficiaries. We will add more beneficiaries next year, we committed. This time we have donated 2150 sarees to the unprivileged mothers & sisters came from various places in Agartala. We have invited Maharaj ji of Sr Ramkrishna Mission, Dhaleswar to inaugurate the program by his beautiful “Durga Stuti” & speech about mahalaya. This was a remarkable day for not only distribution of saree but also the presence of so many Lion dignitaries like PDG Sirs, RC Madam (Region -7) & also 2 renowned journalist came to enjoy this great occasion without our invitation. That’s why it says “If you do good work then everybody will stand beside you”. This remarkable saree distribution program ended with fellowship & lunch which was sponsored by Lion Prithwiraj Nandi.
