MEGA HEALTH CAMP (AROGYA)

Under the permanent project SURAKSHA (ROOTS OF HOPE)held by Lions Club of Agartala Femina every month, a mega health camp AROGYA has been organized at the adopted village Binpara, Sattar Colony, Narshingarh, Agartala, Tripura for building a healthier, happier, stronger and more compassionate community. Huge number of local community people gathered at the medical camp to avail the free health checkups. Accordingly, health awareness session on nutrition, hygiene, cleanliness and disease prevention were conducted by doctors namely Ln Dr.Purnima Debnath and Ln Dr Pradipta Narayan Chakraborty. They provided medical consultation, general health checkups, blood pressure and blood sugar Screening and medicines were provided to the community people. The programme received an overwhelming response from the local community and the participation of the Lion members highlighted the club's commitment to improving rural health care thereby supporting the well being of the community made the service project meaningful and impactful.
