VISION ( School Eye Evaluation-- India project)

As a part of our commitment to Vision Care, a free Eye Screening Camp was conducted successfully by the Lions Club of Agartala Femina under the School Eye Evaluation ‐‐India project on 19th Sept'2026 at Netaji Shubhas Chandra Vidya Niketan, Netaji Chowmohani, Agartala, Tripura. The project aimed to promote awareness of early detection of Eye ailments and other Vision related problems and ensuring timely treatment to prevent future complications among the school students at an early age. A total of 550 students from class 1 to class 10 of this school underwent Eye screening and evaluation by reputed Dr A.K.Chakma and his team of 7 trained doctors (Opthalmologist) in collaboration with All India Opthalmological Society and AIIMS, New Delhi and with support from the Government of India. The students detected with eye ailments will be provided spectacles and further treatment free of cost. Long live lionism 🙏
