Women Symposium 2025 of Lions International District 322G Empowers Over 200 Women with Financial & Social Leadership Skills Guwahati, November 2, 2025: A high-impact Women Symposium held at the Lohia Lions Auditorium on Sunday brought together 200+ women for an inspiring evening focused on women’s rights, financial independence, and self-empowerment. The event was organised under the visionary leadership of District Governor Lion Pankaj Poddar. Lion Vandana Bagaria elegantly anchored the program The serene chanting of Sanskrit Shlokas by Organising Chairperson Lion Anand Aiyar , set a positive and spiritual tone. The symposium commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, in presence of District Governor Lion Pankaj Poddar, 1st VDG Lion Manoj Bhajanka, Past District Governors Lion Dr S S Harlalka, Lion Mandira Chanda , Lion Dr M L Agarwala, Lion B S Rathore, and other visiting dignitaries/ speakers. Welcome speech was offered by District Cordinator, Women empowerment, Lion Dr Sunita Agarwala --- “Empowering Women Sustaining Future” — Core Message of the Evening The symposium featured renowned speakers from diverse fields who urged women to become financially aware, legally informed, and socially confident, while leveraging government schemes designed for women upliftment. The keynote speakers included: Krishna Sarma – Advocate & Lecturer Dilakhi Kalita – Executive Officer, GMC Doly Das – Regional Manager, SBI IPS Shambhavi Mishra - DCP central zone Call for social responsibilities: Mr PVSLN Murty, CMD NEDFI, addressed the gathering and emphasized the urgent need to reduce plastic uses and strengthen citizen participation in social responsibilities for a sustainable future. Visiting speakers: Surjya Kumar Bordoloi, RWUAA Indu Singh, NEWEA Laxmi Devi Agarwala, Home maker Success stories: Kalyani Rajbongshi, Assam Gaurav Awardee Sulakshana Bhuyan, Zangfai Jewellers Rupali Kalita, GMC entrepreneur Sumanji Budia , Dairy Entrepreneur Their talks offered practical insights on legal rights, entrepreneurship, tax awareness, banking literacy and developing a success mindset. A lively ice-breaker session, by Leo Lion Rishabh Bajaj & Lion Niru Kabra mid-program re-energised the hall and boosted audience engagement. --Aaswash Ayushman sang Zubeen Garg song - Panel Discussion Highlights Real Success Stories A dynamic story session /panel discussion chaired by Lion Banasree Chakraborty, Lion Sarita Sah and Lion Yojna Harlalka featured three inspiring self-made entrepreneurs: Kanchan Poddar – Founder, Rasaveda Shreeti Todi – Founder, Nirmit Products Prachita Agarwal – Founder, D-Design Their journeys of resilience and achievement encouraged women to transform their passion into income-generating ventures.
