The members of Lions Club of Gauhati, the 52 years old International Service Organisation, led by the new team office bearers for the lionistic year 2021-2022, came into action right from the first day in office. National Doctor's Day of India was celebrated by honouring the Doctors of Gauhati Lions Eye Hospital Dr. Tadbir Agarwal, Dr. Parminder Kaur and Dr. Chandrima Saikia at the Hospital premises. The New Officers led by the Lion President, Secretary and Treasurer also visited the residences / offices of all the Lion Members of the Lions Club of Gauhati who are in the Medical Profession viz., Lion Dr. ML Agarwalla, Lion Dr. R. K. Bhartia, Lion Dr. Amarnath, Lion Dr. M. C. Gupta, Lion Dr. Bijay Agarwal, Lion Dr. Bhaben Choudhury, Lion Dr. Bhaskar Choudhury, Lion Dr. M.K. Keshan, and Lion Dr. SK Tharad and felicitated them and highlighted the yeomen service rendered by them even in the difficult times caused by the pandemic. The First day of July is also celebrated as the Chartered Accountants Day. On this occasion, recognising the important role played by Chartered Accountants to maintain financial and statutory discipline in our Country, Team 2021-2022 felicitated the members of Lions Club of Gauhati who are Chartered Accountants at their residences / offices.
